For there to be a second season though I'm okay with it, if there is not a follow on season.Shot in Rome, Paris, New York, Jerusalem, Geneva, and throughout Spain, 30 COINS is an eight-episode horror series that follows Father Vergara, an exorcist, sent away by the church, to become the local priest of Pedraza, a remote town in Spain. There is enough story left at the end of the first season. However, that is why we have "Pause" and "rewind" controls on our viewing devices. There are English subtitles, but the actors speak Spanish very quickly, which may make it hard for some people to keep up with the action. There is an "R" rated sex scene, but overall I would say that the series is okay for children15 and up. Her motivations are easily understood, and she is attractive and fun to watch.
I particularly enjoyed the female lead character along with the actress that portrays her. I think most people enjoy a production because they care about various characters. The plot keeps the viewer invested and there is a romantic subplot that doesn't detract from the main plot. The CGI is first rate, as are the production values, though most of the story takes place in a small Spanish village. I think this series transcends those issues, and offers an international audience a well constructed, very well acted, and well directed experience. Viewers from other cultures may not always understand, appreciate, or identify with those preferences. This means that certain cultural preferences are reflected in the productions. Tend understandably to concentrate on their core audiences.
